Atty. Lorna Patajo-Kapunan graduated from the University of the Philippines AB Political Science (1973) and LLB (Law) 1978 and had seminar courses in Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII) Tokyo (1997); National Institute of Humanitarian Law, San Remo Italy (September 2005); Summer Course International Humanitarian Law, Magdalene College, Cambridge University, London UK (July 2010). She founded in 2011 the Kapunan Garcia & Castillo Law Offices where she is currently Senior Partner. Although recognized as one of the leading litigation lawyers in the country because of her high profile cases, her legal expertise is extensive and includes licensing law, franchising, corporate and commercial law, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, international humanitarian law, family law, estate law and succession.

Atty. Kapunan started her distinguished career in law with Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz (ACCRA) where she was as a senior associate until 1986. She served as a senior partner of Roco Kapunan Migallos Perez & Luna Law Offices from 1986. She was Founder and a Senior Partner of the Kapunan Lotilla Garcia & Castillo Law Offices from 2009-2011. Her Firm owns the distinction of being the first and only law firm to have been conferred the Institutional Spirituality Quotient (ISQ) Award by the Bishops/Businessmen Conference (BBC-June 2008), and is a member of the International Lawyers Network (ILN).

Atty. Kapunan has a number of professional involvements throughout her legal career. The most recent ones include Founding President, Intellectual Property Alumni Association (IPAA); Past President and Current Director, Intellectual Property of the Philippines (IPAP) Councilor, Asean Patent Attorneys Association (APAA); Past Chairman, Copyright Committee (APAA); Past Regional President, Asean Intellectual Property Association (ASEAN IP); Director, Licensing Executive Society of the Philippines (LES); Past Chairman and President, Women’s Business Council of the Philippines and Past Chairman, National Issues Committee, Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), Past Chairman UN Women (Formerly UNIFEM).

Atty. Kapunan become an awardee of the Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service (TOWNS) in the field of Corporate Law and was Bar Examiner in 1988 in this field of law. She was a professional lecturer at the European-based International Center for Legal Studies and was a lecturer of “media and the Client” for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE).

Atty. Kapunan sits in Boards of major corporate clients as Corporate Secretary, Compliance Officer and Director and is involved in various socio-civic groups. Ms. Castillo started her career in law with Dela Rosa Tejero & Nograles Law Offices where she was a Senior Associate until June 2000. Ms. Castillo joined Ms. Kapunan in August 2006 and formed Kapunan Lotilla Flores Garcia & Castillo Law Offices.

She is currently the Managing Partner of the Firm. She is also a member of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP) and Business Professional Women (BPW) as well as heads the Firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Division.

Ms. Castillo sits in the Boards of major corporate clients as Corporate Secretary.

Ms. Castillo graduated from the San Beda College of Law in 1994 and passed the Bar in 1995. She is a member of the Sororitas Reginae Juris (SRJ).

MR. DAVE RAFAEL

Dave brings over 29 years of expertise in all aspects of the property business. Previous to co-founding Havitas, Dave was Senior Vice President of the Commercial Properties Group of SM Prime Holdings, tasked with the overall management of over P95 Billion in commercial properties including the Mall of Asia complex. He spearheaded SM’s entry into the office building market and grew the portfolio to 7 office buildings with nearly 500,000 sqm of gross floor area. He conceptualized and implemented Skyranch Tagaytay achieving an investment payback in less than 5 years.

Dave spent over 20 years in Ayala Land handling various responsibilities including: managing Ayala’s mall portfolio consisting of Glorietta, Greenbelt, Ayala Center Cebu and Alabang Town Center, setting up Ayala Land’s pioneering in-house domestic salesforce and eventually setting up Ayala Land International Sales.

Dave’s real estate expertise also covers the masterplanning, preparation of feasibility studies, execution and estate management of large, integrated mixed-use developments: the 170-hectare Central Business Park in Pasay City, where the 67-hectare Mall of Asia Complex is part of; the 36-hectare Glorietta and Greenbelt shopping complexes in Makati; the 120-hectare Cebu Business Park and the future 660-hectare Pasay-Paranaque reclamation projects.

Dave graduated from Ateneo de Manila University and earned his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and an International REALTOR® Member of the National Association of REALTORS® (USA).

 

MR. JONATHAN CARO

Jojo brings 25 years of real estate experience in project development, feasibility studies, market research and analyses for residential, office, commercial/retail and industrial projects. His experiences cover construction development, the management and coordination of local and international project development & construction teams, strategic marketing and sales planning.

Jojo has held various positions in a number of Philippine companies involved in real estate: Chief Operating Officer of Calmar Land Development Corporation & Major Homes, Inc., Vice President of Eton Properties Philippines, Inc., Executive Vice President of DEI Properties, Inc., Real Estate Manager of Starbucks Philippines, Senior Assistant Vice President for Foreclosed Properties of the Philippine National Bank, Senior Project Development Office of Robinsons Land Corporation, Technical Services Manager of the Fil-Estate Group of Companies. He started his real estate career as an Administrative and Operations Assistant in Ayala Land, Inc.

       MR. ERWIN DE PEDRO  

Erwin has over 25 years experience in marketing management with 18 years of real estate experience and 7 years in direct sales management.

Prior to co-founding Havitas and PropertyMart.ph, a real estate brokerage & appraisal company, Erwin was Vice President of Marketing for Eton Properties Philippines, Inc., the real estate arm of the Lucio Tan Group of Companies, one of the largest conglomerates in the Philippines. He was responsible for all marketing efforts for Eton Properties Philippines as well as subsidiaries, Belton Communities, Inc. and First Homes, Inc. launching a total of 29 projects from the inception of the company.

Before joining Eton, he was Assistant Vice President of Marketing for Suntrust Properties, Inc., a subsidiary of property giant Megaworld Corporation of conglomerate Alliance Global Inc.

Erwin graduated from De La Salle University and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and Licensed Real Estate Appraiser – placing Top 8 in the Real Estate Appraisers Exam. He has his eyes set next on the Real Estate Consultant license. Erwin is a member of the Quezon City Real Estate Board – Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards and an International REALTOR® Member of the National Association of REALTORS® (USA).
